The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for an initial 6-month engagement (with potential for extension) to lead critical projects within the banking/financial services domain.

We are looking for a results-driven professional with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex IT and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and on budget.

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and comprehensive risk and issue registers.

• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate technical and business workstreams.

• Provide robust financial management, including budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting to senior stakeholders.

• Establish and maintain strong communication and reporting practices, including presentations to Steering Committees.

Required Skills & Experience

• Financial Services Domain: Strong, proven experience (7+ years preferred) working as a Project Manager within the Banking, Finance, Superannuation, or Insurance sectors is essential.

• Project Methodology: Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Financial Acumen: Strong capability in project financial management (CAPEX/OPEX tracking, forecasting).

• Location Flexibility: Candidates must be based in Melbourne, VIC or Sydney, NSW.
