At present we have an opportunity for an Agile Project Manager to join our telco client in a networks/infrastructure program of work. The successful candidate will have telco/networks and infrastructure experience as well as being well versed in Agile methodology.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direction for the Project.
- Align the project with the goals and objectives of the business.
- Conduct project planning and identify milestones during Business Case preparation at the start of financial year working with technology Product Owners.
- Define an appropriately detailed integrated project plan for cost, time and quality for the agreed scope.
- Optimise resource allocations to maximise performance.
- Define and manage dependencies of the project with other on-going initiatives.
- Monitor milestones and evaluates progress continuously during each quarter and measure the success.
- Identify variances in project progress and take corrective actions.
- Assure proper co-ordination of all line and staff elements to make the project a success.
- Assess and report project status, e.g. cost, schedule, quality and risks, to the business initiative manager and senior management.
- Manage project risks as per the Risk Management processes specified within PMP.
- Ensure knowledge dissemination among team members and contribution from the project to organisational knowledge management system.
- Accountable for achieving the objectives of the project as defined and agreed to in the Project Management Plan.
- Review status regularly and recommend corrective actions (for risks, issues, deviations).
- Ensure project data in EPM365 is current and accurate (Financial Plan).
- Perform Delivery Completion Review at the end of the project with the Project Manager and Project Owner.
- If specified, ensure the Requirements Traceability Matrix is maintained.
Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years of recent relevant experience leading and managing complex projects with multiple dependencies end to end.
- Prince2, PMBoK, Agile or other recognised Project Management certification.
- High degree of stakeholder management experience - Executive Level reporting and Communication Skills and experience.
- Knowledge and use of Agile delivery methods and tools (i.e., JIRA and Confluence).
Skills Preferred
- Knowledge and use of Agile Framework, agile practices.
- Knowledge and use of the waterfall (TDP)
- Knowledge and use of Integral Plus.
- Knowledge and use of EPM365/Clarity.
- Relevant Bachelor level qualification
