The Opportunity

FinXL IT is seeking a high-performing Business Analyst for a leading general insurance organisation This initiative is a core pillar aimed at creating a faster, simpler, and more connected claims journey for customers, while building a scalable, high-performing business for the future.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of General Insurance and Advanced Technology, where you will lead the definition of AI and automation use cases in a high-profile, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Analysis: Lead requirements gathering and documentation for complex motor claims initiatives, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution.

  • AI & Automation Governance: Create comprehensive "Use Case Packs" for AI and automation, including problem statements, process flows, and non-functional requirements (with a heavy focus on data quality, controls, and explainability).

  • Strategic Facilitation: Lead and facilitate workshops with large, cross-functional groups to resolve contention, drive consensus, and navigate project ambiguity.

  • Technical Translation: Act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical squads, translating complex needs into functional specs and interpreting technical terminology for business leaders.

  • Operational Readiness: Manage the pathway to delivery by ensuring all solutions meet rigorous success measures and delivery readiness criteria for production.

  • Testing & UAT: Support the program's testing lifecycle and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business requirements.

What You Bring

  • Insurance Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Financial Services, with a strong preference for General Insurance.

  • Project Pedigree: Proven experience across business and tech transformation, application development, and process re-design-ideally with exposure to risk and regulatory projects.

  • AI/Automation Savvy: Prior experience gathering requirements for AI, Advanced Analytics, or Automation solutions in complex, regulated environments.

  • Stakeholder Mastery: The ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels, particularly in resolving conflicting requirements across a large program of work.

  • Analytical Precision: A "business-focused" mindset combined with the technical depth to perform functional and technical analysis.
