Data Integration Engineer with a leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust data pipelines for market surveillance platforms.
• Support and maintain existing data integration frameworks.
• Develop data transformations to solve complex business problems.
• Implement efficient ETL processes and data modelling strategies.
• Manage workflow scheduling to ensure data availability and accuracy.

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Data Integration Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and DBT for pipeline development.
• Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analysis.
• Proven experience working within Microsoft Windows environments.
• Knowledge of AWS services including Serverless, RDS, and EC2/S3 preferred.
• Familiarity with Airflow for automated task scheduling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
