Data Reporting Solution Designer

Lead high-level design for AWS and Salesforce integrations for government client

FinXL is seeking a Data Reporting Solution Designer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key short-term, Data Reporting Solution engagement with a government client. This is an AWS and Salesforce environment. This hire can be based anywhere in Australia / working remotely. Please note, this is a short-term high-impact 6-8 week engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Author and own the Solution Design and Architecture documents for the new reporting solution.

  • Design the architectural approach for extracting data from the Registry and Salesforce.

  • Lead the design of the canonical data model to support robust reporting requirements.

  • Present and defend solution designs to the Architecture Review Board (ARB).

  • Ensure all designs, assumptions, and risks are clearly articulated for delivery teams.

  • Define the blueprint of the reporting ecosystem to ensure it is ready for execution.

  • Provide senior architectural leadership for a high-impact 6-8 week engagement.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience designing solutions using AWS, and Glue / Lambda / S3 is desirable.

  • Proven experience architecting data flows from enterprise platforms, specifically Salesforce.

  • Strong capability in logical and physical data modelling, ideally using erwin Data Modeller.

  • Experience designing data structures optimised for consumption by Tableau or similar BI tools.

  • Ability to produce defensible, pragmatic, and clear architectural documentation.

  • Experience working within compressed time frames to deliver high-level designs.

  • Ability to engage with and influence senior technical stakeholders and review boards.
