We are looking for a BAU SQL Server DBA and Postgres/Oracle DBA to join our team. The Database Administrator role is to be part of the team that provides operational support, maintenance and administration for systems and services in our evolving database environment. In addition to direct operational responsibilities, the selected candidate will participate in developing the operational models, processes and procedures required to maintain and support systems for our organization.

As a Database Administrator, you will be:

• Ensure that the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times and practices are in line with relevant legislation.
• When required, undertake additional projects or activities as directed by management.
• Provide assistance and support to other members of the team in the performance of their roles and responsibilities.
• Act in accordance with all policies, procedures, practices and guidelines in the performance of accountabilities.

Experience required for the BAU SQL Server DBA:

• Experience with the following:
  • Install/upgrade/patching
  • Always On/clustering
  • Incident/Problem Management
  • Performance tuning
• Experience with Jenkins
• Open with After-hours work
• Open with 24x7 support

Experience required for the BAU SQL Server DBA:

• Experience with the following:
  • Install/upgrade/patching 11g/12c/19c
  • RAC
  • Data Guard
  • Performance tuning
  • Golden Gate (Optional but good to have)
  • Incident/Problem Management
  • Migrations
  • Ansible
• Open with After-hours work
• Open with 24x7 support
