Deployment Co-ordinator

Job description

Deployment Coordinator (Zscaler Transformation)

FinXL is seeking a highly organized and proactive Deployment Coordinator for an initial 12-month contract. This role acts as the critical bridge between technical engineering teams, global logistics, and end-customer requirements during a high-profile transition to Zscaler (Cloud-Native Security Platform).

The Role

In this specific context, your focus shifts from traditional hardware swapping to orchestrating complex "cutovers" of network traffic. You will "conduct the orchestra," ensuring that site readiness, hardware staging, and technical execution align perfectly to minimize business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Readiness & Scheduling: Coordinate with customers to identify "low-impact" windows for downtime, verify site hardware readiness for SD-WAN/Zscaler tunnels, and book field technician resources.

  • Logistics & Asset Tracking: Oversee the staging and shipment of Zscaler-compatible hardware from warehouses to customer locations and manage the reverse logistics of decommissioned legacy firewalls.

  • Execution & "Cutover" Orchestration:

    • Change Management: Develop runbooks, submit Change Requests (CRs), and lead "Go/No-Go" meetings with technical leads.

    • Execution: Run the change execution process, requiring availability for after-hours and weekend work.

    • Escalation: Act as the primary point for issue escalation, pulling in network engineers if traffic fails to route through the Zero Trust Exchange.

  • Governance & Reporting: Provide governance support, including status reporting and contributing to Program Control Board (PCB) updates.

  • Documentation & Handover: Conduct Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR), confirm Zscaler policy activation, and facilitate the transition of upgraded sites to BAU support.

The "Zscaler Factor"

You will be responsible for tracking traffic redirection metrics, including:

  • Deployment of correct PAC Files (Proxy Auto-Config) to customer devices.

  • Monitoring Tunnel Status (GRE or IPSec) to ensure stable site-to-cloud connectivity.

  • Confirming successful User Authentication through the new security layer.

About You

  • Project Rigor: You have a proven track record in deployment coordination or project support within a large-scale network environment.

  • Technical Literacy: You possess a basic understanding of network security, traffic redirection, and SD-WAN/Cloud-Native platforms.

  • Communication Pro: You have the "soft skills" to manage customer expectations during temporary internet interruptions and the "gravitas" to lead technical meetings.

  • Adaptable: You are comfortable working flexible hours to support global cutover windows.
