Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant (Senior)

FinXL (FinXL.com.au) is seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant to join a dedicated Case Management System (CMS) BAU team. This is a pivotal role combining high-level solution architecture with hands-on technical leadership.

Your mandate is to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and architecturally sound technical solutions while ensuring platform stability and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture & Governance

  • End-to-End Design: Lead the design of complex functional enhancements, ensuring alignment with the Dynamics 365 Common Data Model (CDM) and Microsoft best practices.

  • Blueprints & POCs: Develop architectural blueprints and Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate technical approaches before full-scale implementation.

  • Enterprise Alignment: Author comprehensive Solution Design Documents (SDD), present decisions to the Enterprise Architecture Forum, and secure necessary endorsements.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate technical workshops to gather requirements, analyze gaps, and map them to Dynamics 365 capabilities.

2. Technical Delivery Leadership

  • Code Quality & Mentorship: Direct the development team's output, enforce rigorous standards via code reviews, and provide technical guidance/mentorship.

  • Delivery Execution: Partner with Service Delivery Managers to estimate technical effort, identify dependencies, and coordinate cross-functional efforts.

  • Platform Modernization: Champion the transition from legacy platforms to modern MS Dynamics 365 CE and Azure-based integrations (Logic Apps, Azure Functions).

3. Operational Continuity

  • Escalation Authority: Act as the highest technical escalation point for $L3/L4$ incidents and perform complex root cause analysis.

  • Environment Integrity: Oversee technical governance of shared environments and manage dependencies between parallel delivery streams to prevent solution conflicts.


Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Dynamics 365 & Power Platform: Deep proficiency in Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Azure Integration Services.

  • Core Development: Strong hands-on background in C# (.NET Core), JavaScript/TypeScript, and client-side scripting.

  • Integration & Data: Expertise in data modeling and designing integrations using RESTful APIs and Azure services like Logic Apps and Azure Functions.

  • Certification: PL-400 (Power Platform Developer) certification is highly desirable.

Architecture & Collaboration

  • Documentation: Proven experience producing high-quality SDDs, blueprints, and interface specifications.

  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with UX/UI designers.
