They are seeking a Defence Hardware Engineer to joining their creative and dynamic engineering team.

Your focus will be to utilise your Hardware Engineering skills and expertise to support the engineering effort in developing real-time combat simulated scenarios; in order to best prepare our uniformed personnel in their task of defending our nation.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage hardware design including:

1. Face plates, enclosures and mounting systems
2. Electrical schematics and cable drawings
3. Rack layout diagrams
4. Building and maintaining Bill of Materials and Build State Declarations
5. Specifying and selecting appropriate hardware to meet customer requirements and constrains of system design

• Manage technical publications and documentations
• Design and document ICT networks to meet requirements
• Manage hardware procurement, outsourcing scope definition, equipment specification and report on quality control
• Physical builds and configuration of servers and equipment
• Integration, fault finding and defect resolution of physical builds

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Hardware, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering & ICT or related discipline
• Experience in building racks, incorporating servers, cabling and assembly
• Experience in hardware and ICT network assembly;
• Experience in integration of hardware systems to support mission systems
• Use of ICT network design tools
• Use of defect tracking systems
• Must hold a Defence security clearance, preferably NV1

Due to the nature of the program. Candidates must be able to access ITAR/US Export Technology Control. Candidates can not hold ties to, or be a dual citizen of prescribed/prohibited Tier 1 or 2 nations.
