Java Developer

Leading Government client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Java Developer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a 12 months contract in Parramatta. This role is only open to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents who are able to pass a baseline security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality WebApps using Java and modern frameworks.
• Configure and manage Jboss and Apache environments.
• Write and maintain scripts within a Red Hat Linux environment.
• Design and integrate REST and SOAP web services.
• Utilize Jenkins, Gradle, and Ant for continuous integration and build automation.
• Collaborate effectively within a team-based agile environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in Java development and associated WebApps.
• Proven expertise with Struts, Spring, NodeJS, and Angular.
• Strong technical knowledge of Jboss, Apache, and Red Hat Linux.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and scripting.
• Familiarity with monitoring and security tools such as Tivoli SSO and Splunk.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a leading Government client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Parramatta.
