FinXL are looking for a Logistics Support Officer to coordinate Integrated Logistics System requirements related to reviewing and validating project material.


  • Coordinate the Integrated Logistics System (ILS) requirements related to reviewing and validating project, SPO and Contractor material technical data documentation to ensure that all in-service technical support considerations of information technology equipment and logistics policies are addressed.
  • Undertake an active role in process improvement activities.
  • Develop, maintain and implement logistic plans and procedures for the in-service support of information technology equipment in accordance with the Capability and Sustainment Group (CASG) policies and procedures.
  • Provide input into Integrated Logistics Support Instructions (ILSI's) for relevant technical information including cataloguing and codification and specialist technical advice in relation to hardware maintenance solutions for the supported system and liaise with key stakeholders to provide the technical advice in support of LC4 Mod SPO systems.
  • Responsible for the cataloguing and codification of LC4 Mod SPO fleet products and formulating related Complete Equipment Schedules (CES).
  • Obtain and maintain all Safety Data Sheets for equipment that requires them and ensure they are of WHS Australian Standard.
  • Responsible to manage and report on LC4 Mod SPO compliance and assurance activities, to the Defence Logistic Manager.
  • Develop and maintain regularly, relevant areas of the LC4 Mod SPO website with regard to updating of the Fleet Product database information and associated documentation.
  • Participate in Technical Management meetings and/or technical activities, tasks or functions and present reports on status of work against approved plans, agreements and instructions.
  • Review annually the Standard Operating Procedures for LC4 Mod SPO supported equipment.
  • Prepare Fleet (system) Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Technical Management briefs and impact statements.
  • Manage Supply Customer Accounts (SCA) if required.
  • Undertake services in accordance with:
    • sX000i (Integrated Logistics Support (ILS))
    • S2000M (Material Management Data
    • S3000L (Logistic Support analysis (LSA))
    • S500F (In-service data Feedback).

Selection Criteria:

Essential qualification and experience requirement:

The training requirements, or equivalent, of this position are considered fundamental to the Integrate Logistics Manager position:

  • Materiel Logistics Practitioners Course (MLPC)
  • Certificate IV Logistics Management
  • Minimum 6 (six) years' experience
  • Diploma of Material Logistics.

Preferable Defence experience:

  • Understanding or user level experience of relevant application(s)
  • Lotus Notes Intermediate Demand System (LNIDS)
  • Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) including but not limited to Cataloguer, Inventory manager, Supply Customer Account (SCA) Manager, Technical Material Data Officer
  • Material Codification Catalogue
  • Configuration Management Tool - Land (CMT-L)
  • Understanding of logistics within the CASG Capability Management process.
