FinXL IT is seeking a Network Test Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

• Review network configuration outputs to confirm correctness
  
• Validate connectivity including interfaces and basic packet checks
  
• Identify issues and raise formal defects with clear evidence
  
• Capture screenshots, configuration extracts, and logs in QMetry
  
• Liaise between Test teams and Project Network Engineers
  
• Support migration test windows and large-scale network migrations
  
• Provide independent validation of connectivity during cutovers
  

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on testing & assurance
  
• Exposure to Cisco environments and ACI familiarity
  
• Strong network fundamentals (CCNA-level or equivalent)
  
• Experience reviewing configurations and connectivity outcomes
  
• Detail-oriented approach to capturing evidence and test results
  
• Strong written communication skills for defect reporting
  
• Previous experience with enterprise migrations or cutovers
  

What's On Offer?

• Initial 6 months' contract
• Located in Norwest Business Park
• Hybrid-full time working arrangement (3-5 days per week in the office with occasional weekend support (paid))
• Support a multi-year core banking infrastructure modernisation program
