Job Description
FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Commercial, Government and Finance.
We are looking for non-functional testers (multiple roles – see below for more details), to be part of a testing project to work from our client site. Our client is one of the Queensland Government Departments.
This is an initial 4 to 6 months project and therefore the contract will be line with the project timelines.
It is a Brisbane CBD based work location with an excellent rate to offer!

(A) Security, Penetration & Compliance Testers
No. of Roles: 2
The ideal candidate will possess the following demonstrable testing experience and skills in
- Testing a platform to be suitable for storing and transferring data with a data classification of sensitive.
- Testing of accessibility of data from external sources
- Testing the encryption of the data during transit – various transmission modes – internal and external
- Testing the hosting services for all access attempts from all access methods
- Testing portal security compliance in line with Transport Layer Security and Secure Shell standards
- Compliance testing of environment to comply with
- Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988
- QLD Information Privacy Act 2009
- Queensland Government Information Security Classification Framework – 2018
- IS18:2018
- The Queensland Government Authentication Framework
- Network Transmission Security Assurance Framework
- ISO/IEC 27001 Standards
(B) IT Service Continuity (ITSC) Testers
No. of Roles: 1
The ideal candidate will possess the following demonstrable testing experience and skills in
- Testing and Validation of IT Service Continuity management policy and process for:
- Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives for all critical production contractual obligations
- Documentation of service recovery strategies, including backup techniques and infrastructure requirements to achieve recovery objectives
- Documentation of risk assessment and risk reduction measures
- Documentation of a detailed ITSC plan for:
- ITSC management organisation structure, roles & responsibilities
- ITSC recovery strategies and procedures
- Stipulation of the recovery objectives
- Approval procedure for the invocation of ITSC
- Communications plan
- Post recovery reporting requirements
- Schedule of the testing plans
- User verification with the schedule
- Detailed test plans for each test session
- Assessment of associated risks
- The testing and its timing is structured to cause zero disruption to production
- Test instructions, services to be tested, recovery objectives, preparedness, recovery team, user verification, a record of recovery objectives and post-test reporting requirements
- Incorporation of ITSC policy & process with service management tool
In addition, you will be
- Having significant experience in non-functional testing practices, creating test cases, prepare & document test results and present the test results
- Available to start from second week of March’19
- Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident/Hold Relevant Work Permit
- Consent to undertake relevant background verifications and police clearance checks
- A great team player
- Good communication skills
