Summary:

The successful candidate should have capability to provide program architecture expertise to the federal government client. Working part of a multi-disciplinary team the Program Architect will proactively and independently work closely with internal and external stakeholders. and attend meetings, from time to time, as required by the client in delivering the services. The Program Architect must have the ability to manage a high workload with limited supervision and work remotely when required.

The key responsibilities include:

• Provide digital architecture advice and create ICT systems architecture blueprints
• Review ICT Scoping Study input provided by agencies to assist in identifying the key ICT systems that form the cross-border trade system across government
• Support and actively contribute to the development of current and future state systems ICT architecture maps and blueprints
• Contribute to identifying ICT system risks and opportunities for improvement
• Provide ICT architecture recommendations and advice to the future state digital investment roadmap including recommendations on the sequencing of ICT systems implementation
• Contribute to the development of key architecture statistics to inform correspondence, pitches and briefings
• Consult with agency technical experts to ascertain more in-depth information on their ICT systems, to clarify assumptions, and to inform the development of future state ICT architecture options
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support the development and implementation of processes to improve Digital Strategy team delivery
• Provide accurate and timely advice on the delivery and achievement of key ICT architecture mapping activities.

The successful applicant would be required to have:

• Demonstrated experience working as a Program Architect and/or Solution Architect inside complex and large-scale ICT projects/programs, ideally within government.
• Proven ability to deliver enterprise solution architecture that meets requirements and aligns with organisational constraints of multiple agencies/entities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology.
• Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships
• Sound working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (i.e. TOGAF, Zachman).
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field.
• Professional IT certifications in one or more architecture domains (business, data, applications and technology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks.
