FinXL Professional Services is a leading services organisation providing a broad range of services to assist large Australian enterprises and Government departments to deliver key projects.

At present, an outstanding opportunity exists for a Project Accountant / Financial Controller to join our team onsite at a large Australian Telecommunications company.

The Project Accountant will take on a range of critical accounting and finance focussed duties as listed below:

• Manage financials for key projects within the IT space

• Monitor program budgets via financial trackers and reports

• Support Project Managers with financial activities including project set-up, transactions & cost variances

• Co-ordinate month end accruals and adjustments for processing

• Liaise with the business teams to ensure monthly financials are on target and aligned with forecasts

• Manage shared services and OPEX to budget

• Manage capitalisation reports alongside Project Managers for CAPEX

• Prepare reports, metrics, commercial drivers and P&L outcomes for key stakeholders

To be successful in this role you bring the following:

• Experience working as an accountant, finance analyst or financial controller, preferably in the project space at a large organisation

• Tertiary qualifications in a Business-related discipline (Preferably Accounting and Finance)

• CPA/CA or another similar professional accreditation (desirable but not mandatory)
