FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Commercial, Government and Finance.


FinXL are looking to engage a Project Manager - Voice for business and consulting services for one of our large corporate Telecommunication clients on a contractual basis. The role will be based in Melbourne and will be onsite for our client. Previous experience in telecommunication organisations and / or large corporate organisations is highly desirable. As well as strong experience in Voice (SIP & Legacy Voice) is a must.



  • Must have specialists experience 5 years plus in Telecommunication Voice projects, specifically in the below:
  • SIP          
  • Uplift SIP trunks to Dual Exchange Homing
  • Datacentre headend SIP upgrade
  • Transformation of managed SIP trunk environment to higher redundancy specification
  • Migration of the SIP capable sites to the Customer managed Unified communication system
  • Migration of current SIP environment under proposed service Delivery model.
  • Migration of available services to SIP over the course of the Data Transition:
  • Legacy Voice
  • Churn of legacy voice to carrier managed services
  • Program numbers with provided prefix either centrally or at sites with PABXs.
  • Transformation of over 2000 services (TBIZ / PSTNs) to Direct Lines    
  • Transformation of over 200 ISDN2 to carrier Voice services
  • Leading carrier voice transition design/build/implement workshops
  • Carriage delivery management
  • Mobile transition solution implementation – working with mobility specialist from data collection till porting cutover.
  • Transition to production and operational sign off
  • Understand how to work with a client and drive outcomes and not oppose the client’s direction – this is an essential part of the role, genuinely understanding their needs and assisting to deliver continuously
  • Must have experience in vendor management, Risk & issues, change management, project reporting, scheduling & financial management
  • High degree of stakeholder management experience – Executive Level reporting and Communication Skills and experience
  • Matrixed project environment – shared resources, onshore/offshore & external vendor delivery
  • Align the project with the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Conduct project planning and identify milestones.
  • Define an appropriately detailed integrated project plan for cost, time and quality for the agreed scope.
  • Optimise resource allocations to maximise performance.
  • Define and manage dependencies of the project with other on-going initiatives.
