FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Commercial, Government and Finance.

 

FinXL is looking to engage an experienced Defect Manager for a project with one of our tier 1 infrastructure and ICT services clients on an initial (6) month engagement. This role will be responsible for quality assurance as a part of testing strategy for ServiceNow deployment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the E2E defect process for all phases of testing Inclusive of System Test, SIT, UAT and potentially Performance/SVT.
  • Chair defect management meetings.
  • Chase developers and testers to ensure status of Defects are maintained and ready for discussion.
  • Understand the specific defects.
  • Provide defect reporting.
  • Assist in Planning and Execution pending capacity.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ Years' experience in defect management or similar role in complex organisations with multiple systems and projects.
  • JIRA experience mandatory.
  • Service Management experience ideal.
  • Test Rail experience would be beneficial.
  • Self-driven with ability to work with little direction.
  • Experience in System/AT testing, SIT & UAT.
  • Both technical and functional.
  • Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, Testing and QA.
  • Strong experience working with defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM.
  • Experience in rolling out processes across greenfield teams and capabilities.
  • Experience working with various stakeholders and multiple vendor teams to gather information and drive action.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
