The Role:

FinXL are looking to engage multiple Security Analysts with experience in a security monitoring environment ideally here in Canberra.

The key responsibilities include:

• Undertake large data analysis including, but not limited to security alert triage (including statistical analysis and reporting of alert trends) and use case tuning (including stakeholder engagement for development and implementation)
• Identify supporting frameworks, assessment of security risks and provision of recommendations to improve technical controls or policies where possible, including participating in the feedback process for policy updates and projects
• Provide supervisory support and specialist guidance to team members
• Attend meetings and workshops as required to provide ICT Security advice and guidance to stakeholders
• Provide advice, support and guidance on ICT Security matters
• Prioritise and coordinate tasks to achieve contract outcomes
• Create and maintain records of work activities and follow through with stakeholders on all outstanding tasks
• Contribute to reporting and briefing requirements of the Directorate

To be successful in this role, you would have:

• Experience in a security monitoring environment (such as a Security Operations centre) ICT Security related roles
• Experience in network monitoring, security alerts, documentation creation and maintenance, with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have an active NV1 clearance - NV2 is highly desired
