The Opportunity

FinXL IT is currently seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Business Analyst to join our delivery team on-site at a leading general insurance organisation. This is a pivotal role requiring decommissioning experience, where you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of retiring complex legacy systems and infrastructure.

You will act as a strategic functional and technical "bridge," ensuring that as systems are decommissioned, business continuity is protected and future-state processes are optimised. This role involves managing a high-priority pipeline of initiatives that require a sophisticated "risk mindset" and deep analytical rigour.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Analysis: Lead decommissioning initiatives from initial scoping and requirements gathering through to final execution.

Process Engineering: Create future-state business processes and evaluate solution impacts and cross-program dependencies.

Workshop Leadership: Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align business needs with technical constraints.

Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary conduit between Tech teams and Business units to ensure delivery meets stakeholder expectations.

Change & Training: Assist with Change Management scoping and the development of training materials for transitioning teams.

Documentation Mastery: Maintain and update project artefacts, diagrams, and playbooks within Confluence, JIRA, and Visio.

Program Oversight: Share responsibility for the quality, consistency, and collaboration of BA work across the broader program.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Substantial experience as a Senior BA with a strong background in the general insurance industry.
A decommissioning specialist: Proven track record in system decommissioning, legacy retirement, or complex migration projects.
Risk-First Mindset: Ability to identify hidden dependencies and proactively mitigate project risks.
Tool Proficiency: Advanced hands-on skills in JIRA, Confluence, and Visio are essential for this role.
Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical solutions and "options papers" to non-technical senior sponsors.
