Senior Business Analyst (Data Migration)
FinXL (FinXL.com.au) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for an initial 3-month engagement. This role is pivotal in supporting a Case Management implementation, specifically focusing on a high-stakes mainframe-to-cloud data migration.
The Role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will leverage your deep technical and functional expertise to lead and support data migration initiatives. You will operate within a complex, regulated environment, ensuring data integrity and seamless system transitions during a large-scale replacement program.
Key Responsibilities
Data Migration Leadership: Lead or support critical data migration activities from legacy mainframe systems to modern cloud platforms.
Requirements Management: Elicit and document comprehensive business, functional, and data requirements.
Technical Specifications: Define detailed technical requirements and specifications for data migration processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners across multiple organizations.
Data Governance: Apply a strong understanding of data models, validation protocols, and integrity controls to ensure high-quality migration outcomes.
System Integration: Analyze and document system interfaces, APIs, and data transformation requirements.
About You
Mainframe-to-Cloud Expert: You have a proven track record of navigating the complexities of migrating data from legacy mainframe environments to the cloud.
Regulated Industry Background: Experience working within government, insurance, or claims management sectors is essential.
Data Specialist: You possess expertise in data modeling, data transforms, and a solid understanding of data security and protection requirements.
Case Management Experience: Highly desirable is a background in large-scale system replacements or Case Management implementations.
Engagement Details
Duration: 3-month initial contract.
Work Structure: Full-time (5 days per week).
Location: Hybrid model requiring a minimum of 2 days per week onsite at the CBD office in Melbourne.
