Senior Full Stack Engineer with a leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney CBD.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a new platform to modernize risk monitoring and reporting.
• Lead the integration of Claude AI and other LLMs into credit risk workflows.
• Design robust middleware to connect Java backends with AI model endpoints.
• Implement predictive risk modeling and anomaly detection using Kafka streams.
• Drive engineering excellence through fully automated CI/CD pipelines.

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience delivering end-to-end solutions using Java and Spring.
• Strong frontend development skills utilizing the React.js framework.
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud services and containerization using Docker.
• Experience with data persistence and streaming tools like PostgreSQL and Kafka.
• Previous experience within Credit Risk or the broader Financial Services sector preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate modern AI capabilities into enterprise Java.
• Commitment to high-quality code within a secure, regulated environment.

Engagement Details

• 12 months months contract with a leading banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
