Senior Oracle Database Administrator

FinXL is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Telco client, specifically we are looking for an infrastructure-focused Oracle DBA with hands-on experience across both Oracle Exadata and Cloud environments (ideally AWS and/or OCI). FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end administration for Oracle databases in complex environments.

• Own the operational stability of Oracle Exadata and RAC environments.

• Support and optimize Oracle workloads hosted within AWS and OCI.

• Execute performance tuning, proactive monitoring, and critical patching.

• Manage and test high-availability and disaster recovery processes.

• Act as a technical bridge between Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams.

• Deliver RMAN backup and recovery solutions for mission-critical systems.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven track record as an Infrastructure-focused DBA in large environments.

• Direct, hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata hardware and software.

• Significant experience supporting Oracle platforms within AWS and/or OCI.

• Expert-level knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.

• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX administration and shell scripting for automation.

• Demonstrated ability in performance tuning and production support.

• Background in Telco, Banking, or Government sectors is highly preferred.
