The Role:

Senior Test Analyst

The key responsibilities include:

Contribute to test estimation, track work against estimates, report variances to team management, and manage resources to ensure project deliverables are met.

Demonstrate extensive analytical skills. This includes reviewing project documents with a demonstrated ability to analyse highly-complex systems and interdependencies, identify critical integration points, and identify inconsistencies and contraditions, ambiguity, and gaps in functional documents.

Provide clear and concise review comments on test artefacts, ensuring that comments are accurate and meet the section's standards.

Create, execute, and report high-quality test artefacts such as a project's test matrix, as well as its test cases, defects, and complex test data, ensuring they adhere to section standards and guidelines.

Raise defects and monitor defect queues for yourself and peers, advising when queues are not actioned promptly, as per section guidelines.

Coach, mentor, and provide on-the-job training to Junior, Trainee, and Test Analyst staff.

Assist in identifying knowledge and skills gaps in individuals, then help develop and implement plans to remedy them.

Provide recommendations for financial planning and budgeting within the project. Using sound judgement, collate and provide an analysis of financial data and reports to facilitate decision making.

Tailor your communication (both written and verbal) to meet the needs of particular audiences.

Mandatory Requirements:

A minimum of Baseline level security clearance.

Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).

Six (6) years or more experience in system testing or quality assurance roles.

ISTQB Foundation Certificate or equivalent certificate, or relevant practical experience (mandatory).

Experience or knowledge of a wide variety of testing tools, testing techniques and methodologies, and the effort required to undertake specific testing activities.

Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.


ISTQB Foundation Agile Extension Certificate or equivalent (optional)

ISTQB Advanced Level Agile Technical Tester or equivalent (optional)

ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst or equivalent (optional)

ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or equivalent (optional)

ISTQB Foundation Level Mobile Application Testing or equivalent (optional)

Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices

Certification in automation tools

Certification in performance tools.
