ServiceNow Business Analyst with a leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a ServiceNow Business Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 6+ months contract in Sydney.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops with HR SMEs to document processes and design workflows.
  • Translate business needs into detailed User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders managing OOB functionality.
  • Coordinate the UAT phase including script creation and defect triaging.
  • Assist the PeopleSoft team with data mapping and validation for integrations.
  • Support change management by creating training materials and reference guides.
  • Manage expectations regarding platform customisations versus standard features.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on ServiceNow projects.
  • Strong functional knowledge of the ServiceNow HRSD module and its components.
  • Proven experience in Agile environments using Jira or Azure DevOps for backlogs.
  • Deep understanding of the SDLC and translating requirements for offshore teams.
  • Background in HR Operations including Hire-to-Retire and Onboarding lifecycles.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for creating clear technical documentation.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder matrices and manage business requests.

Engagement Details

  • 6+ months contract with leading banking client
  • Hybrid working model with 2-3 days/ week in the office in Sydney.
