FinXL IT is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading financial services client on a key transformation engagement.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed technical analysis to determine business or system requirements and define test scenarios.
Review and validate solution specifications against business requirements, assisting product owners with story value definition.
Act as an interface between business and technology teams, translating complex cloud and on-premise solutions into easy to understand functions.
Provide first-level data analysis and support for data-related queries from both business and technology teams.
Plan and execute system testing to determine change acceptance or support root cause detection of platform problems.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and planned release implementations with relevant project stakeholders.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies to minimise delivery delays and undesirable impacts.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within wealth management/ financial advice, superannuation, and investment services.
Demonstrated track record working inside large-scale enterprise transformation projects.
Proficiency in business analysis tools including Jira, Confluence, Miro, and process mapping software like Visio.
Strong organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple outcomes in parallel.
Advanced interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence outcomes, and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Background working with legislative or compliance change, data profiling, or AI tools is highly desirable.
