Senior Network Automation Engineer

Leading Government client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key transformation engagement. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

Design canonical role/subnet/service object models for ASA/CSM and ACI/APIC
Validate and sign off candidate rules; lead passive and canary deployments
Produce runbooks, emergency rollback procedures, and change control artefacts
Mentor automation engineers on APIC payloads and CSM job design
Monitor post-deploy telemetry and authorise reverts when SLA thresholds exceed
Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM for application traffic distribution
Develop and maintain network automation scripts and workflows using Python and Terraform

Key Skills & Experience

Deep experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC REST/API models
Proven design and execution of enterprise firewall policy rollouts
Strong troubleshooting and capacity planning skills
Hands-on experience with F5 GTM (Global Traffic Manager) and LTM
Proficiency in network automation using Python and Terraform
CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for network automation
