Data Engineer
Leading Government client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Data Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key transformation engagement. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue and dbt

• Implement remediation logic for poor-quality legacy data

• Optimise performance of large-scale migrations

• Develop monitoring and error-handling for batch runs

• Work with Analysts to align business rules into transformations

Key Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years in data engineering

• Proficiency in AWS Glue, dbt, SQL, and Python

• Strong ETL experience in migration contexts

• Familiarity with Tableau reporting/validation
