Desktop Support Engineer
Leading Health client (consulting through FinXL)
FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.
FinXL is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Health client on a key transformation engagement. This is an onsite role requiring you to work 5 days per week (Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours within an 8am-6pm window) across their (Sydney) Eastern and Western Suburb sites.
Responsibilities
Act as a Level 2/3 escalation point for the Service Desk
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Fulfil service requests for new hardware, software, and peripheral setups
Deploy, configure, and install new desktops, laptops, and workstations (WOWs)
Perform break/fix hardware support, including component replacement
Provide basic support for audio-visual (AV) and video conferencing (VC) equipment
Create and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles
Key Skills & Experience
Experience managing tickets in an ITSM tool (e.g., ServiceNow)
Strong hardware troubleshooting skills (PCs, laptops, peripherals, printers)
Experience supporting the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot approved software applications
Basic Active Directory tasks such as password resets and unlocking accounts
Experience with SOE-based device deployment
Assisting with user profile and data migration for device replacements
