AD FS Engineer

Lead high-impact AD security hardening and Zero Trust projects

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking an Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Telco client on a key AD FS to EntraID and identity & security hardening initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AD solutions across multi-forest and multi-domain environments

  • Lead security hardening initiatives aligned with Zero Trust and ASD Essential 8

  • Architect and deploy ADFS solutions for complex federation scenarios

  • Optimize AD infrastructure, GPOs, and DNS-integrated zones

  • Implement tiered administrative models and privileged access strategies

  • Provide expert technical leadership and root cause analysis for identity issues

  • Develop PowerShell scripts for AD lifecycle management and automation

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise in Active Directory design, implementation, and administration

  • Deep knowledge of ADFS, GPO, DNS, and Windows infrastructure

  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for AD automation and orchestration

  • Experience with AD security hardening and defense against attack vectors

  • Familiarity with ASD Essential 8 and Zero Trust architecture principles

  • Experience with SCOM monitoring and Hyper-V infrastructure

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to lead technical initiatives
