Cisco Network Engineer (Cisco/Nutanix) | 3-Month Contract | Tasmania (Hobart or Launceston)

FinXL is partnering with a major brand to deliver a critical compute refresh across two key sites. We are seeking a hands-on Cisco Network Engineer to lead the physical deployment and migration of a modern infrastructure stack.

The Project

This initiative involves a dual-site deployment (Hobart and Launceston) consisting of 3 Cisco compute nodes per site integrated with Nutanix storage. You will be the technical lead responsible for transitioning approximately 140 VMs to the new platform.

Your Responsibilities

• Physical Deployment: Manage the end-to-end rack-mounting, precision cabling, and power integration for the Cisco/Nutanix stack.

• Configuration & Migration: Perform the initial configuration and lead the hypervisor migration for 140 virtual machines.

• Governance & Handover: Develop comprehensive "As-built" documentation, provide technical training to local teams, and manage the formal project handover.

• Strategic Planning: Maintain high-level timelines and project roadmaps to ensure milestones are met across both sites.

Requirements

• Cisco Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Cisco compute nodes and networking infrastructure.

• Storage Specialist: Proven experience with Nutanix storage solutions and virtualized environments.

• Location: Based in Hobart or Launceston, or fully prepared to relocate/travel between these sites for the duration of the contract.

• Availability: Ready to commence a 3-month initial engagement.
