Full Stack Engineer for a leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.

Responsibilities

• Work on a HR technology program.
• Build robust solutions and integrations based on business requirements.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the existing code base.
• Contribute to the evolution of platform design and microservices architecture.
• Design and implement projects involving complex integrations and data sources.

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in professional web development.
• Proficiency with Node, Python, and frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS frameworks, and RESTful APIs.
• Background in designing scalable, cloud-native, and distributed software.
• Practical experience working with cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
• Knowledge in Java is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude code is a plus.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a leading banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney.
