FinXL is seeking a Connex Switch Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in North Sydney.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and support of switching applications.
• Identify and design technical solutions in consultation with business partners.
• Perform core coding tasks and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
• Manage unit test script preparation and execute unit testing for code changes.
• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications and system handover documentation.
• Deploy software changes into production and support SIT and UAT movements.
• Provide BAU and on-call technical support to resolve production incidents.

Key Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Banking and Financial Services (Payments and Cards).
• Expertise in Connex Switch or Base24 within HPE NonStop Tandem environments.
• Strong understanding of ISO 8583 and AS2805 network specifications.
• Experience handling scheme mandates for Visa, Mastercard, and EFTPOS.
• Background in Switch migrations, software upgrades, and hardware migrations.
• Knowledge of testing tools and simulators such as FINSIM.
• Proven experience with EMV implementation and tokenization projects.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a leading banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in North Sydney.
