FinXL is seeking a mid-level Java Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the BAU team
• Support troubleshooting and development of new applications
• Utilise AWS cloud services, containerisation, and cloud computing principles
• Drive automated testing and best practices

Key Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java Core with Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with React for front-end development preferred
• Knowledge in AWS tools
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL
• Exposure to Generative AI tooling like GitHub Copilot and MCP
• Excellent communication skills

About the Role

• 12 months contract with leading banking client
• Sydney CBD location (hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office)
• FinXL is able to take over existing sponsorship visas
