Kubernetes/ EKS Engineer

FinXL IT Professional Services is currently looking for a Kubernetes/ EKS Engineer to work with our team for a large client based in Sydney.

- Initial 3 Months contract with possible extension

- Open to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane

- Daily rate contract

- ASAP Start

Skills and Experience:

• Experience working with EKS clusters and maintaining them.
• Strong experience with AWS and Public clouds.
• Strong scripting experience for EKS migration.
• EKS(AWS) & TKG(VMware) Cluster Administrator experience preferred.
• Container and Automation experience on-premise RedHat OpenShift clusters.
• Centralised management experience including timely upgrade of add-ons for Kubernetes clusters like kube-proxy, CNI, CoreDNS, kubedrainer, newrelic, fluentd, fluentbit, pinniped, etc for clusters.
• Self-managing EKS clusters through Jenkins pipelines customisable as per the requirements of each application team using CloudFormation templates and Jinja templating.
• Quarterly upgrade/patch of EKS clusters.
• Suggesting new practises and processes to secure Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with Kube-bench to generate CIS EKS Security Benchmark Audit reports
• Experience with OPA Gatekeeper for managing organisation policies on NBN EKS & TKG clusters
