Test Analyst - Network Infrastructure (NV1 Clearance Required)

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking an experienced and security-cleared Test Analyst to join a high-stakes engagement focused on Critical National Infrastructure. This is a specialized role at the intersection of Network Engineering and Quality Assurance, supporting some of Australia's most sensitive government agencies.

The Opportunity

• Role: Test Analyst / Network Tester

• Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract (Strong view to extend)

• Location: 100% Location Agnostic

• Security Requirement: Active NV1 Clearance (Mandatory)

The Mission

This isn't standard application or website testing. You will be responsible for validating the resilience, security, and performance of complex customer networks. You will look at network topologies to identify potential points of failure and ensure end-to-end integrity across high-level routing and switching environments.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Validation: Run E2E testing across multi-vendor environments, specifically focusing on Cisco and Palo Alto ecosystems.

• Security & Performance: Validate latency, throughput, failover protocols (HA), and security policy enforcement across the network fabric.

• Hybrid Testing: Execute manual test scripts while supporting the transition toward an automated maturity model.

• Infrastructure Hardening: Test and verify firewall configurations and SD-WAN integrations (experience with Fortinet/FortiGate is highly regarded).

Technical Requirements

• Network Depth: A comprehensive understanding of how networks work-you should be comfortable discussing routing, switching, and security protocols.

• Testing Expertise: Proven experience as a Tester or QA Analyst within large-scale, complex enterprise environments.

• Tooling: Experience running test scripts and a solid conceptual understanding of automation tools like Tosca or Selenium.

• Clearance: You must hold a current Active NV1 Security Clearance to be considered for this government-facing project.
