Network Engineer - Aruba / SD-WAN

Location: Sydney
Engagement: Contract (12 months + extensions)
Clearance: Australian Citizenship required; Baseline or NV1/NV2 clearance preferred

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking a Network Engineer (Aruba / SD-WAN) to work with one of our leading telecommunications clients. In this role, you will support key internal initiatives focused on enterprise and federal government customers. You'll be involved in the design, build, testing, and deployment of secure network solutions using Aruba technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Aruba-based solutions including:

  • Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN

  • Aruba Switching and Wi-Fi

  • Aruba ClearPass, AirWave, and Central

• Build and stage network environments for testing, migration, and cutover

• Participate in customer workshops and contribute to solution design documentation

• Assist in presales activities including costings and scope development

• Conduct proof-of-concepts (POC), cutovers, and transition to operational support

• Collaborate with architects, project teams, and end clients

• Support after-hours changes and deployments as required by project timelines

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering roles

• Strong hands-on experience with Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN, switching, and Wi-Fi

• Proficiency with Aruba AirWave, ClearPass, and Central

• Experience with network build, deployment, and migration activities

Desirable:

• Experience with Cisco Meraki, Cisco ISE, Viptela, SDA

• Fortinet SD-WAN and firewall knowledge

• Ekahau Wi-Fi survey tools

Security Requirement

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory

• Baseline, NV1, or NV2 clearance highly regarded

• Must be eligible to obtain security clearance if not currently held
