Network Engineer - Fortinet SD-WAN / Firewalls

Location: Sydney
Engagement: Contract (12 months + extensions)
Clearance: Australian Citizenship required; Baseline or NV1/NV2 clearance preferred

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join a leading telco provider on projects supporting their federal government enterprise clients. You'll be responsible for designing, staging, and deploying Fortinet-based network solutions across secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Fortinet SD-WAN and Fortinet firewall solutions

• Support presales scope creation and develop HLD/LLD, test, and implementation plans

• Build/stage environments, lead migrations, cutovers, POCs, and transition to ops

• Collaborate with project teams, architects, and customers across complex federal deployments

• Scheduled after-hours work may be required for project delivery

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering

• Proven delivery of Fortinet SD-WAN and Fortinet firewall solutions

Desirable:

• Cisco Meraki, Viptela

• Aruba or Cisco switching/Wi-Fi

• Cisco ISE, SDA

• Aruba ClearPass, AirWave, Central

• Ekahau Wi-Fi survey tools

Security Requirement

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory

• Baseline, NV1, or NV2 clearance highly regarded

• Must be eligible to obtain a clearance if not currently held
