Sr. Software Engineer (Cloud)

We're looking for a Sr. software engineer for our financial services client.

Core responsibilities:

• Building and designing, highly automated enterprise grade technology solutions leveraging a cloud first and cloud native ethos.
• Managing cloud environments following enterprise security architectures.
• Planning, designing, implementation and support of cloud-based platforms and tools.
• Automate everything: Experience implementing pipelines and basic scripting knowledge (eg. Bash, Powershell, Python)
• Implement technical solutions using best testing practices (eg. TDD).

Skills and Experience required:

• Solid technical background/understanding in Cloud, Software Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Solid understanding of the practical use of emerging technologies as cloud native tools.
• Experience and knowledge working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS services, orchestration tools (eg. Kubernetes or ECS) and Docker.
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (Especially NodeJS, React, Java/Springboot etc).
• Good understanding of the UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Full Stack Applications, Containerised environments, micro-serviced architectures and understanding of enterprise architecture capabilities and architecture gap analysis.
• Experience writing good quality automation tests, abstracting dependencies and balancing the volume of unit and integration tests.
• Solid knowledge on application integration patterns (eg. queues, REST API, ESB) and lower level architecture (eg, Hexagonal, Clean, DDD patterns) to review peers work and propose solutions.
