FinXL is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Storage Administrator to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading technology client on a critical infrastructure and data management engagement. This role focuses on the maintenance, performance, and strategic integration of enterprise-class storage and virtualisation platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support, administration, and performance tuning a Dell EMC Unity and Dell Compellent (SC Series) storage arrays with VMWare
  • Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and proactive remediation of issues across the entire storage and SAN fabric
  • Design, implement, and maintain storage automation features such as tiered storage, thin provisioning, and replication services
  • Troubleshoot complex performance issues, latency problems, and connectivity failures between the storage arrays, fibre channel network, and virtual hosts
  • Ensure all storage and virtual infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the storage environment, assessing new technologies and participating in potential migration activities.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Extensive proven experience as a Storage Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer in an enterprise environment
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Dell Unity and Dell Compellent
  • Strong mastery of VMware virtualisation technology, including ESXi, vCenter, and virtual storage concepts (Datastores, vVols)
  • Expert knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SANs), including Fibre Channel zoning and troubleshooting
  • Experience with performance monitoring and capacity management across multi-vendor storage environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex issues spanning the virtual, compute, and storage layers.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge or experience with Hitachi VSP 5200 and/or Hitachi E1090 storage systems.
