Agile Business Analyst (mid-level) Leading government client (consulting through FinXL)
FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.
FinXL is seeking an Agile Business Analyst (mid-level) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading government client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and perform detailed analysis across multiple domains.
- Coordinate with technical stakeholders and SMEs to document information flows.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to capture target state business processes.
- Manage the creation, prioritisation, and refinement of clear user stories.
- Monitor team progress using Agile tools such as burn-down charts.
- Design technical requirements and functional specifications using process models.
Key Skills & Experience
- 4 -7 years work experience as a Business Analyst within an Agile environment.
- Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship required.
- Experience working at government agencies or similar preferred.
- Strong ability to translate user needs into testable functional requirements.
- Experience in facilitating UAT sessions and developing test cases.
- Experience with facilitating user interviews, focus groups and workshops.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- ICAgile Certification is highly regarded.
Engagement Details
- 12 months months contract with a government client
- Hybrid working with 3-4 days/week in the office in Parramatta, NSW
