Associate Project Manager Leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a key transformation engagement. As part of the FinXL Associate Program, you will receive structured support and training to develop your project management career.
Please Note: Our client is specifically looking for Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents for this engagement. The goal of this program is to transition successful consultants into permanent roles at the conclusion of the 12-month period (subject to headcount). We kindly ask that you do not apply if you currently require visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
Assist the project leader in achieving objectives by completing assigned tasks.
Monitor and report on financials, risks, issues, and progress toward milestones.
Maintain and update the project's status reports and risk/issue registers.
Coordinate tech updates, equipment testing, and software update schedules.
Support project governance to ensure compliance with enterprise methodologies.
Facilitate communication between tech teams and business stakeholders.
Assist in producing project agendas and minutes at agreed intervals.
Key Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field is required.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.
Previous experience in a large organization or financial services is ideal but not mandatory.
Basic understanding of project management concepts and methodologies.
Ability to analyze problems and identify roadblocks under direction.
Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and meeting coordination.
Excellent communication skills to build effective stakeholder relationships.
