The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Consultant specializing in Cisco SD-WAN for an initial 6-month contract (starting January 2026). This pivotal role focuses on the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade network and security solutions for a major client.

Key Responsibilities

• SD-WAN Design & Deployment: Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela and Catalyst) solutions, including integration with complex enterprise network and cloud environments.

• Network Security: Apply advanced network security best practices in SD-WAN design, including segmentation, encryption, and alignment with security frameworks.

• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex SD-WAN and network-related issues to ensure high network availability and performance.

• Change Management: Follow structured change management processes to ensure network changes are planned, documented, and implemented with minimal risk.

• SSE Integration (Desirable): Support or participate in projects that integrate SD-WAN with Secure Service Edge (SSE) technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Zscaler, Fortinet).

• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing operations and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience

• Mandatory Platform Expertise: Strong, practical experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela and Catalyst), including deployment, configuration, and hybrid cloud integration.

• Networking & Security: Solid understanding of routing, switching, IP protocols, WAN optimization, and network security best practices.

• Automation (Highly Regarded): Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for SD-WAN configuration and management.

• Certifications (Desirable): Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, Cisco SD-WAN Specialist, or equivalent practical experience.

• Soft Skills: Able to clearly explain complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
