We are seeking a Engineer to join our team full time who will be working onsite in Melbourne CBD. Reporting to the Business Systems Team Lead, you will be providing business/systems analysis services and advice on complex issues relating to Data platforms.

Role Summary

We are seeking a versatile and highly technical Mid-Senior Marketing Technology Implementation Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for supporting project-based work across various client mini-teams, focusing on the configuration and implementation of marketing and analytics technologies. The specialist will be a trusted technical advisor, providing critical thinking and technical leadership for the ongoing implementation, management, and strategic design of the client's Martech stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the ongoing implementation, management, and strategic design of the client's Marketing Technology.
  • Serve as the primary resource for creating detailed tech specifications (approximately 75% of the role) to configure websites (e.g., the client's public site or secure channels) for effective analytics data retrieval.
  • Implement media tags, set up Ensighten rules, and manage production deployment for new marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with solution designers, business analysts, product owners, and other engineering teams within an agile delivery environment.
  • Demonstrate the capacity for frequent context switching and simultaneous work on different project features.
  • Apply proven end-to-end consulting and solution design skills to new problems and implementations.

Required Experience and Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate will have 6 to 10 years of experience in Marketing Technology implementation and a proven background in solutionizing these technologies.

Core MarTech Tools & Platforms

  • Adobe Tools: Deep proficiency in Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.
    • Experience with the following is highly desirable: Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Marketing Platform/Console Management, Adobe Mobile SDK, Adobe AT.JS, Adobe IO, Adobe Platform APIs, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics.
  • TMS/CDP Tools: Expertise in Tag Management System (TMS) and Customer Data Platform (CDP) tools, specifically: Tiium (Tealium IQ, Tealium Event Stream) and Insignen (Ensighten Manage, Ensighten One, Ensighten APIs).
  • AdTech Implementation: Experience in Adtech implementation and management to support digital marketing initiatives.

Essential Capabilities

  • Technical Leadership: Ability to provide technical guidance and maintain an operational mindset for robust, secure, and maintainable implementations.
  • Development Skills:
    • 5+ years in Application Development, Digital Marketing, or an associated field.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript and SQL.
    • Experience with a programming language such as JAVA, Objective C, or Python.
  • DevOps & Automation:
    • Experience with build management tools, including continuous integration and delivery practices (Gradle, Jenkins).
    • Experience with continuous test automation tooling (Perfecto, Applitools).
    • Knowledge of release and configuration management practices (tagging/branching strategies).
  • Data & Cloud: ETL skills (Scripting, Scheduling, Transforming, Loading, and Preparation), and experience with cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS, MADI, DBT) as applied to AdTech and MarTech solutions.
