Cloud Data Engineer with a leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)
FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.
FinXL is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney CBD.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy standardized data engineering frameworks utilizing AWS Glue.
- Drive platform evolution through automated data detection and metadata management.
- Develop features for predictive PI and sophisticated sensitive data protection.
- Manage complex data workflows and orchestration across the ecosystem.
- Implement robust, automated pipelines while ensuring high data integrity.
- Collaborate with the Data Platforms team to scale the next-generation ecosystem.
- Ensure all technical solutions meet strict security and compliance standards.
Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud Data platforms.
- Technical proficiency in AWS Glue for building data frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with DBT, Airflow, and Spark for transformation.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with metadata-driven architectures and predictive analytics.
- Ability to build and scale robust, automated data pipelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Engagement Details
- 12 months contract with a leading Banking client.
- Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
