Cloud Data Engineer with a leading Banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney CBD.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy standardized data engineering frameworks utilizing AWS Glue.
• Drive platform evolution through automated data detection and metadata management.
• Develop features for predictive PI and sophisticated sensitive data protection.
• Manage complex data workflows and orchestration across the ecosystem.
• Implement robust, automated pipelines while ensuring high data integrity.
• Collaborate with the Data Platforms team to scale the next-generation ecosystem.
• Ensure all technical solutions meet strict security and compliance standards.

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with AWS Cloud Data platforms.
• Technical proficiency in AWS Glue for building data frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with DBT, Airflow, and Spark for transformation.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with metadata-driven architectures and predictive analytics.
• Ability to build and scale robust, automated data pipelines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a leading Banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
