Senior Developer

Support a critical Oracle Exadata migration for a leading banking client.

FinXL is seeking a Developer (Java & Exadata) to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client supporting a high-profile Java to Oracle Exadata migration engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support migration of Java applications to Oracle Exadata infrastructure.

  • Refactor JDBC configurations and connection pooling for Oracle compatibility.

  • Validate application functionality and performance post-migration.

  • Collaborate with DBAs to troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues.

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Artifactory.

  • Automate environment setup using shell scripting and configuration tools.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of migration steps and rollback procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Java (8+), Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

  • Proven experience deploying Java applications using Apache Tomcat.

  • Hands-on integration experience with Oracle databases (Exadata preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of JDBC, connection management, and SQL tuning.

  • Proficient with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.

  • Understanding of core infrastructure including TLS, firewalls, and DNS.

  • Skilled in shell/bash scripting for automation and environment setup.
