Custody Analyst

Leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Custody Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 3 months contract in NSW.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor custodian service levels by reviewing KPI reports against agreed service level agreements.
  • Act as a stakeholder and SME for projects and other matters where outcomes or impacts are custodian related.
  • Complete account and market opening documents required by the Custodian by working with internal teams.
  • Ensure the Custodian provides all relevant reporting for governance and internal monitoring purposes.
  • Liaise with key Custodian contacts and internal stakeholders to resolve day to day operational issues.
  • Provide proper instructions to complete security and cash transactions to custodian and prepare payments.
  • Attend and document outcomes of service meetings, including the coordination and closure of action items.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in the financial markets, custody, or funds management industry.
  • Experience in custody operations, implementation activities, and multiple aspects of custody service provision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrable change management skills and ability to adapt to process and business transformation.
  • Experience with multiple aspects of custody service provision such as information technology and tax.
  • Capability to build rapport and establish meaningful relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to co-operate and coordinate between multiple stakeholders/parties to resolve complex issues.
