Data Solution Architect
Leading Government client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Data Solution Architect to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key Data transformation engagement. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

• Define migration architecture including ETL, CMDM, and target flows

• Provide governance and technical strategy for the overall migration framework

• Oversee AWS Glue, Appflow, and S3 pipelines, ensuring security compliance

• Design Common Migration Data Model (CMDM) schemas for multiple legacy mappings

• Act as the technical authority in design reviews, audits, and workshops

• Lead the planning, design, execution, and assurance of data migration activities

• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Project Managers on risks and milestones

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Data Architect

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue, AWS Appflow, and S3

• Proven expertise in implementing AWS security and compliance controls

• Experience with Postgres, dbt, and Tableau

• Demonstrated experience in data migration planning, design, and execution

• Ability to design and implement a Common Migration Data Model (CMDM)

• Background working in regulated industries is highly desirable
