Finance & Governance Advisor Leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL is seeking a Finance & Governance Advisor to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 6 months contract in Sydney or Brisbane.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial forecasting and detailed analysis to support project budget management.
• Ensure reporting integrity and provide financial assurance across transformation workstreams.
• Coordinate and manage delivery documentation to maintain governance standards.
• Provide regular status reporting for key projects including ARCS and Core Finance.
• Support the migration from legacy systems to automated reconciliation platforms.
• Monitor financial milestones and report on variances within the project portfolio.
• Facilitate communication between finance and project delivery teams to ensure alignment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Finance Advisor or Governance Lead within a project environment.
• Demonstrated experience with PPM (Project Portfolio Management) tools and methodologies.
• Strong financial analysis skills with a focus on forecasting and assurance.
• Experience working within Finance Transformation or large-scale system migrations.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail regarding financial reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to navigate complex delivery requirements.

Engagement Details

• 6 months+ contract with a leading banking client.
