Solution Architect for Market Risk Leading banking client (consulting through FinXL)

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Solution Architect for Market Risk to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions for complex risk management needs.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures.
  • Leverage AWS, ActiveViam, and big data technologies to build scalable and secure systems.
  • Integrate and optimise high-performance systems for real-time risk analytics and data transformation.
  • Drive cloud-native modernisation initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Mentor technical teams and improve existing architectural processes and workflows.
  • Ensure all delivered solutions meet strict regulatory compliance and performance benchmarks.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Solution Architect within Market Risk or Financial Services.
  • Deep understanding of market risk concepts, methodologies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Technical proficiency in AWS cloud services and ActiveViam (ActivePivot) solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise with big data technologies including Spark and Kafka.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL for data warehousing and transformation.
  • Proven ability to design high-performance systems in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical visions clearly.

Engagement Details

  • 12 months months contract with a leading banking client.
  • Hybrid working model with 3 days/ week in the office in Sydney.
