FinXL IT is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading government client on a key transformation engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Design canonical role/subnet/service object models for ASA/CSM and ACI/APIC.

  • Validate and sign off candidate rules; lead passive and canary deployments.

  • Produce runbooks, emergency rollback procedures, and change control artefacts for automated pushes.

  • Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM for application traffic distribution and load balancing.

  • Integrate F5 solutions into migration designs ensuring high availability and disaster recovery compliance.

  • Develop and maintain network automation scripts and workflows using Python and Terraform.

  • Monitor post‑deploy telemetry and authorise reverts when SLA thresholds exceed limits.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Deep experience with SD-WAN, Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI, and APIC REST/API models; practical CSM experience

  • Proven design and execution of enterprise firewall policy rollouts.

  • Strong troubleshooting and capacity planning skills.

  • Hands-on experience with F5 GTM (Global Traffic Manager) and LTM (Local Traffic Manager).

  • Proficiency in network automation using Python and Terraform.

  • CCNP/CCIE or equivalent (desirable).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for network automation (desirable).
